Swim
Comments: No wetsuit on first swim leg. Was a mass beach start for everyone so we all ran the 75 yards or so to the water. Everyone was in the same place o crowded and slow going. I struggled getting rhythm and struggled throughout the swim. Second swim I decided to put on the wetsuit which was difficult after the first run but I was alright with the extra time as the swim felt much better than the first one. What would you do differently?: Learn to relax in the water! Transition 1
Bike
Comments: first bike felt good and averaged just a touch under 20 mph. Because of my suky swim had a lot of people to catch and not many behind me. Second bike I was starting to lose some steam on the way back into the headwind. Tried to push thru some and was able to finish relatively strong. What would you do differently?: Work harder. Transition 2
Run
Comments: first run was ok and a bit under 8 minutes. Had some people to try and catch which helped but wanted to conserve some energy and my wind knowing I had my second swim coming up. Second run I knew I was solidly in the bottom half but was lucky to have ome targets running at a good pace to try and catch. In the end under 7 minutes avg which I was happy with. Was pretty well spent t th line though for once I managed to notice the photog and smile. Post race
Warm down: caught up with Jay who ended up second in our age group though we didn't know that until the next day. Then hit the boardwalk for some breakfast. What limited your ability to perform faster: Life! Event comments: chris puts on awesome races for a great price with an awesome vibe. Unique setup with back to back mini sprints and would love to try and improve next year. Last updated: 2011-03-25 12:00 AM

Up at 3:30, washed up, hydrated some and took off on my hour ride. Chris hooked us up with a $5 lot to park in one block from transition.
Went and checked out the ocean and took a brief swim.
This race is unique in that you swim 200 meters, bike 5 miles and run 1.5 and then do it all over again with long runs from the water to transition and vice versa.
