Subject: Lake Stevens Washington IRONMAN 70.3 RELAY

Were looking for a swimmer to join a relay team of average guys for the Lake Stevens Ironman 70.3 in Lake Stevens Washington on August 14th.

Race cost is about $130 for the swimmer and should be a fun event.

This team has a decent biker and runner and looking to round out the team.

Anyone interested???

Disclaimer: I'm not the person you want swimming for you.

But to anyone thinking about it - Lake Stevens has its swim course following a rowing course.  You can see the line that holds the buoys about a foot beneath the water the entire way.  So you basically never have to do any sighting.  Good course for a PR

I would do it but all my race funds are spoken for this year. Good luck finding a swimmer though.

Thanks for the info spudone.  I saw on the course it looked like we would be following some bouy pathway.  Thanks for the info.

Finding a swimmer is proving harder than we thought.

If I weren't about to have a Baby, I'd probably do it for you. However, we're trying to save some money so I don't think that would fly.

You're having a baby? Have you alerted the media? Live births to those of the male persuasion are fairly rare from what I understand.

Cool

Well, I had them make a movie about it awhile ago to prepare the rest of the world. I think they picked Arnold to play me.

That would be Tom Arnold, right? Must have missed that one.

Can I get a sweet m-dot tattoo as well? You may want to post this in the Washongton state forum, if you haven't already.

I did a 1.2 mile OWS as my first time in the water since September several weeks ago... For free... And didn't get constantly kicked in the face.

Don't know how "decent" I'd consider myself. Certainly not FOP for that distance. But that's a bit steep even for an IM medal.

Do you still need a swimmer?  My spouse is racing the 70.3 so I could possibly do the swim if we can work out a deal on the entry
