Pre-race routine:

I was a volunteer at this event and they told me at the last minute I could swim it. No prep at all.

Comments:

This is the longest OWS I have ever done. I did not push it. I could have gone harder. On the second lap a guy behind me swam into me head on. In the last 600 yds I fought off foot cramps in both feet, but did not have to stop. After rounding the last bout for home I pushed harder and realized I had a lot more in the tank and could have gone much harder.

What would you do differently?:

Swim with a stronger pull throughout the swim.
