Pre-race routine:

This is a sunset run - began at 5. WEnt into work most of the afternoon, and nutrition today was a bit wacky. Ate a whole-wheat roll with PB and J in the car prior to race.
Event warmup:

Light jog to start line - 3 minutes. Stretching

Comments:

Felt tired at the end of the day, but had a good run anyway. Quite happy with my time in my first 5-miler.
What would you do differently?:

Eat better during the day of the race. Hydrate more ahead of time, since little water available on course.
Post race
Warm down:

Strolling around the park. Oranges, watermelon, and water.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing really. It's a good time for me.

Event comments:

Several people who were running this had ALSO run the Lobsterman 5-Miler this morning! Yeesh, way to humble the rest of us!

Performance: Good
Each mile clearly marked, splits called out at 1m,2m,5K, and 4m.
Course: Lovely race through beautiful rural area. The entire first half was a gradual downhill grade. It was great! My first mile split was 8:52 (fastest yet), second 17:54, and 5K 28:05. Then the uphill bit started...pretty much the last 2 miles were a solid gradual uphill grade. Oh, well! One water stop at 2.5. Could have used more.
Keeping cool Good Drinking Not enough
