I don't actually watch the show; a friend of mine told me about the website and all I watch are the online performance clips, so I don't have any bias other than what appeals to me in performance and I gotta say...

Marty is HOT. HOT HOT HOT.

He yells a little too much, but he is smokin'. LOVE the eyes. Blondes don't normally appeal to me but this boy's eyes more than makes up for his haircolor.

Renee--

I love this show! I avoided it like the plague, because I don't like the 'American Idol' breed and I couldn't imagine why such a great band like INXS would muck up their band with a cattle call.

But a TV critic that I really really like raved about the show. So I unbent a bit and watched it. I love to watch the performances!! The Reality TV bit is on cable, so I can't see it and wouldn't watch it if I could (probably), but you are right.

Marty is something else! I nice piece of eye candy with a rough sexy voice (who periodically screams too much!)

Can I have him???

Addicts here also. Not so much for the eye candy, but for the talent. Much better than any idol wannabes. The Aussie version of idol is suffering big time at the moment here. Another star never to be born. Not that that is sucha big deal.

My votes for JD, he's a moody so and so, but fits the band best in my opinion. Afterall it is supposed to be a talent show.

I agree about the talent thing. I was shocked at how good some of them were! But JD... he may seem the best 'fit' with the band, but who would want to jam with him ever???? Ugh.

I hope the "Jam" comment was music related. He is young enough to be their son, so I think a generational clash will occur and he will fade into obscurity. I'm curious, does INXS still have a following in the US? Here in oz they haven't really been taken seriously for some time.

A following... Well, I went to high school (secondary???) in the 80s, and my generation still remembers them well (and loves them well), but I haven't the foggiest if people younger than me know anything about them...

But I think this show will probably have created something of a following for them, actually.

Sorry won't waste my brain cells on the show. Already wasted enough on reality shows.

I saw JD perform Suspicious Minds and I wasn't impressed. No edge to his performance at all; was very smarmy. Thumbs down!

INXS was a great band, but Michael Hutchence was "the band" and when he died, so did their prospects of continued success in the charts.  This show is probably the best thing that ever happened to the remaining members, next to their initial fame and glory.  I haven't seen an episode and will probably stay away from it.

I was dissapointed with the show having been a die-hard INXS fan through the 90's. Micheal Hutchence was the soul of the outfit. The kids audtitioning are too young to have ever gone to a live show with him - they have no idea. IMHO, the remaining guys are 40 to 50 somethings trying to remake their careers.

They aren't INXS without Michael, and they lost all credibility by having John Stevens as their lead singer in the interim!  so they needed the publicity Idol style to sell music.

I haven't seen the show its only on Foxtel over here.

This show is awesome! For those of you that are avoiding it you need to see it, atleast once. There is no way it can be compared to American Idol...it's 1,000 times better, RockStar INXS that is. I too was avoiding the show, and all reality shows for that matter, but it was on one night and the amazing talent caught my attention now I am hooked on it. I actually got mad tonight cause my run lasted longer than usual and I missed the show.

My vote is for Marty. Sure JD might fit the group better but I think it would do them well to get someone differnt and not try to replace the previouse lead guy (sorry I forgot his name).

I think Marty is the choice. I actually remember Meg from years ago. I was drunk (those are the days I didn`t even know what a triathlon was) at a party and got up with the band and pretended I was the dancer for the band. At the time I thought I looked fantastic, until I saw the photos....anyway thats another show. But, Meg was the lead singer in the band that night and I still have the photos to prove it. blar blar blar,
I still choose Marty, I just like his style.
I LOVE REALITY SHOWS, I AM ADDICTED TO THEM......

I won't even watch MiG's video clips because he looks too pretty, like a girl. Actually, I started watching one of his online videos and about 20 seconds into it, I turned it off. Does not float my boat.

Well, as a female Canadian I gotta vote for Suzie. Sadly though, INXS is a guy band and should never have a girl, no matter how increibly talented she is, fronting it.

I liked Suzie too...but it is just weird to have a woman singing INXS tunes.
