Run
Comments: Wow, what a difference from last year. It was nice and cool which really helped and I was in a great place mentally being prepared to be BOP and just run my own race. I kept trying to slow down to planned pace in the beginning but it just didn't happen and I guess that ended up being a good thing. I managed to run up Aquarius hill on both sides just walking a bit at the top to let my lungs recover. It was so fun to cheer on all my friends as they came back from the turn around. And this was an almost 7 minute PR. Seriously freaking rocked and I feel amazing. Oh, and picking off the one runner in the last mile so I wasn't DFL was fun too. I <3 today. What would you do differently?: In hindsight, NOTHING! Post race
Warm down: Chatting with friends. Should have run a bit more but I was having too much fun with them. Oh well. What limited your ability to perform faster: More training will bring speed but this was more than I dreamed of going into this race so I don't really care. Event comments: I'm biased by I love this race. It's not easy but it's a good one and I love that all my friends run or volunteer for it. Last updated: 2011-08-30 12:00 AM
