Swim
Comments: first real wetsuit swim. shallow and muddy start. did a few dolphin dives. used sighting and buoy turn technique from the race preview clinic. found rhythm after first couple buoys and felt pretty good from that moment on. What would you do differently?: learn and use drafting. Transition 1

What would you do differently?: push harder. Transition 2

Comments: aid station were well spaced: just over about 1.2 mi apart. the aid station refreshments were not consistent between the stations (or I missed something): ice only on 2 stations, coke, etc. compared to the Eagleman walked less through the aid stations. maybe due to more compact stations. pain (PF) in right foot did not completely subside and by mile 9 started getting more noticeable. there were first signs of cramping in hamstrings (not cramps themselves) relatively early on the run, maybe around mile 5. real cramps showed up at mile 10 in hamstrings first. at the last aid station I had water, gatorade, and ate a GU Roctane. the cramps went away almost instantly. walked a portion of the last mile to give rest to the right foot. ran through the finish chute with the girls.
