Comments: started out in the wash and was good to go. as the swim progressed i felt good, had a solid pace going. got kicked fewer times this race and im happy. overall a good performance and there was a slight run to the timing mat. overall nothing out of the ordinary, had a nice pace going during the race What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 1
Comments: went good and uneventful, mat should have been closer to the mount line though What would you do differently?: nothing Bike
Comments: absolutely loved this course!!! asides from being nice and scenice it was the exact bike course my legs were asking for. overall i had a solid pace throughout my ride. the first mile or so was nice and flat before the hills. once i got to the hills my goal was to spin up fast and not over due it with the legs since i needed them for the run. with each passing hill i passed 1 or 2 people but not much since there wasn't many in front of me.i had a very solid pace throughout and felt strong up the hills. went up the last big hill hard before i spun through the last couple miles which were down hill and flat. legs would feel great for some running! What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 2
Comments: fumbled a little getting my shoes on and almost ran into a barricade, gotta look up! What would you do differently?: be more aware Run
Comments: had a solid run. came out of transition feeling good and just pacing off the guy in front of me. he put some distance away from me but kept him in sight. i got through the first mile solid and attacked the hill, passed one person but he was still ahead. he had distance on me until i cam back down the hill 3/4ths a mile later in which i passed him. that last mile i got into a great pace and pushed it hard. legs hurt and with 1/3 mile i kicked it in and finished strong. What would you do differently?: nothing Post race Warm down: walked around and gorged on a lot of food What limited your ability to perform faster: nothing Event comments: personally i loved this race, right in my backyard and great scenery. was pleasantly surprised with how well and smooth it was run for being the inaugural race.
