Looks like it is going to get cold next week, too bad I won't be running too much.

Top of my foot has been hurting, think I am going to try some KT tape tomorrow. If that helps must use it next weekend in my races.

KT Tape is like Witchcraft it works so well. Used on my Achilles for the longest time and really helped.

I agree wholeheartedly regarding KT ...hope it does the trick for you Lenny.

If it wasn't for wind and snow(today) I would not have gotten many points this week!

Today was the first day, though that I would really qualify as Crappy Winter Weather, mainly because of the slush in the street, the wind and the snow coming down...the temperature was still pretty mild at 33.  I even caught some snowflakes on my tongue

Happy New Year Everyone,

Nichi

Saw 12 deer walking slowly over the path about 100 yds in front of me on my run on Monday, it was like they were in a line.

today saw a bald eagle and a squirrel.

Tape didn't help this morning, maybe I didn't have it on tight enough. I heard they will tape you up at the Marathon expo so maybe I will have them do it and see how it feels for the 1/2.

Ahhhh ! Nothin' like some falling snow/sleet, freezin' temps, and winds of 24mph to start of 2012 ! LOL

I'm back, after a couple of weeks off due to illness and holiday travels and work, I'm back. Looking to start some serious training. I have a snowshoe race in mid-Feb and need to get some trail training in over the next few weeks. That and the weather looks very promising.

It's finally cold enough in SE Michigan to get some points for all this running -- hooray! But not crappy enough to catch the big guns this year. I've dug myself quite a hole so far in the CWWC, but hopefully this weekend's 50k trail race will be cold enough to bump me back into the, uh, running. All I'm saying is I'm not dropping out of this one, so look out leaders!

A nice double comute in low 20's with a good breeze made for some great points today, hopefully I can keep it up. I have a stupid stress test next week and a Snowshoe 5K in mid Feb so I need the training time in the snow and cold.

Had a good week of walking to work with some great weather. Hopefully it hold for a few more week so I can make up some serious points.

I'm still around. 18 days in California followed by Kansas temperatures in the 50s means no points for me in the past month. I'm not complaining, however. Running in California was blissful, and 50 degrees and sunny in January in Kansas is just amazing.

Got two 20 milers in last weekend and now gonna go for another 20 after work. Most of it will be in the dark but that is okay. Hopefully that temp is 35 or under. Regardless I am going. I love it and I finally get to try out my new Salomon pack. Yeahhhhh!!!!

The Salomon has alot of pockets and nooks to store things in. It worked out very well and was very comfortable. Gonna have to snap the front pouch on with the bottles full and see how that feels. Good luck on your trial run.

Hard to believe it was 58 degrees here on Tuesday in Iowa in January, and now it is 9 degrees with 25 mph winds.  This is more the norm, but riding bikes with my kids in January in Iowa was pretty cool!

I had to tell my daughter to put a coat on, on Tuesday...it was that nice

Okay, I have procrastinated long enough.  Going out to get some points and get blown around a bit!

Nichi

Supposed to be cold tomorrow morning, going to see if I can get 2 hours of running in. Feel recovered from last weekend.

Well we gone and done it here in Calgary. -20 c highs for the next 4 days. And today. Was going to take a down week but figure this might be my best chance this year to put some sick points on the board so going to soldier on. Brrrrrr.
