Pre-race routine:

Nothing much, up early, had the oatmeal. Snoozed a little and then met car pool guys at 7:30 for ride to the parking lot.
Event warmup:

Walking to the corral.
Run
  • 4h 37m 19s
  • 42.2 kms
  • 06m 34s  min/km
Comments:

Good run, had to have a bathroom break at 5K, that took 10 minutes (5 minutes line up and then 5minutes doing my stuff).

Pretty bleak course in places, but lots of support, cheering etc.

Got a 17 minute PB, so happy.
What would you do differently?:

Try not to have to do the bathroom break.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked to th car and then had a Guiness at the pub above the parking lot.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Bathroom break at 5K

Event comments:

Good race, everyone helpful and lots of support.

Some drivers are a..holes though and that can put a damper on the race.
