Subject: Seeking Iron Man volunteer advice

I am responsible for supporting a water table that marks the 1/2 way mark of a HIM and the 1/2 and 3/4 mark of an IM. Seeking advice on how many people I should plan on being available during the peak hours. Table will be ready for first runner by 11:45 am (HIM starts at 830). Below is what I was thinking. Any advice will be appreciated.

11am - 1pm = 3, 1p - 6p = 6, 6p - 8p = 5, 8p - 10p = 4, 10p - 11p = 3

Are you talking about volunteer staffing?

How many athletes are entered in each race?
What is the expected weather/temperature?
What has been done in years past?
Does the RD not have any direction for you?

Are you talking about volunteer staffing? Yes. Just filling up and handing out cups of water.

How many athletes are entered in each race? 1000 HIM, 700 IM
What is the expected weather/temperature? 65 - 70 during the day, 45 - 50 at night
What has been done in years past? ??
Does the RD not have any direction for you?  Not yet.

There is a meeting on the 26th where I'll get more direction but I need to start looking for volunteers now.
