Comments: This was surely a Great Race! This is the 2nd time I've done this race and my first repeat race ever. My main goal was just to beat my time from last year, and I did!! My pace was really inconsitent (Mile 1: 10 min, mile 2: 8:30, mile 3: 9:15, etc) but that was mainly due to the massive downhills and then that one awful gradual uphill on the parkway that was most of mile 5. I lost my running partners by mile 2 so I had to run alone, which was a little lonely, but I didn't give up and I wouldn't let myself slow down. I just *had* to meet my goal! I had a great time and feel recharged!! :) What would you do differently?: Start doing intervals a few months earlier so I'll have a faster base-pace. but otherwise, this rocked! Post race
Warm down: Walked around, had some oranges, gave the guy dressed as a pea a big hug, had about 2 bottles of water. What limited your ability to perform faster: felt a little tight, and my throat was hurting from breathing in, but otherwise I was running as fast as I can. Last updated: 2005-09-26 12:00 AM
