Comments:

I had a damn good race! Nailed the pace I wanted to, generated negative splits the entire way (see above), and started picking people off left and right from about mile 8 on.

This was MY day to run that race!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.

Warm down:

Stretching, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and a bagel.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

This was just a great race for me.  At the end, I felt like I could've gone on for another mile or two.  I pushed it just hard enough to feel really good about my performance but not so much that I hurt myself.  I think chasing two wonderful pairs of female legs towards the end of the race really helped out the pace on the final mile, too...  ;)

I nailed this race - had a GREAT morning and a great run!  Now I get to move the rest of my stuff into my new apartment, but not until after my shower and snooze!

Steve

Steve,

Congrats on finishing a great race. Wasn't it SO cold out there? It took my legs a good mile to realize what I was about to do.

Know that this race must really boosts your feelings toward the full marathon coming up in a few months.  Good luck on your continued training.
