Pre-race routine:

Searched for tools to swap cassette out on race wheels. Packed up stuff. Got an Egg McMuffin and giant diet coke on the way to the ride.

None. Tried to stay warm. It was damn cold.

Good ride. Last long training day before the HIM. Was second rider in, but only because I skipped the rest stops. I think this was my longest-ever ride without stopping.

Nothing. Rode comfortably but strong...this was training.

Great job. You might want to think about more calories during the race though. You're going to need more energy.

Oh yeah...I know. I had an Egg McMuffin before and took 5 gels and 56oz of PB endurance, so that's only 930 calories, which means my claoric deficit was around 1700 calories. It was cold, so I didn't need a lot of fluids. I was planning on stopping at one aid station, but bagged it. Still felt really good.

I'll eat more on race day...
