Subject: RE: Spin classes I have a Spinner at home and just log the time as cycling. Here's how I look at it: Am I talking on a day with no wind, or high winds? Are there a lot of turns or is it straight? These can change the distance pretty drastically even over a short amount of time. While on the spinner, I can only accurately measure time (Volume) and HR (effort level), but these are the two main metrics I use for a training session anyway. Miles are a useful way to quantify a ride, eg "I rode 37 miles today", but time and effort are the best way to quantify a workout eg. "I rode for 60 minutes in Zone 2 with 10 minutes of accelerations into Zone 3". |
