Subject: Planned Races in blog
I've seen "Planned Races" listed under Planned Training in some blogs.  It has the list of their upcoming races with links to race reports, a thread about the race, and tells how many BT members are doing the race.  I've poked around trying to figure out how to use this function, but can't find it.  Help!  I wanna be cool too!

It's easy. Basically you create a draft race report prior to the race.

  1. Go to Your Races
  2. Click 'Add Race'
  3. Follow the steps in the wizard, and either select an existing entry or add a new race
  4. Save the race report as a 'draft' and there you go - you're one of the cool kids!

One more quick question:  How does a race get a BT discussion associated with it?  Do you have to create a thread in the regional racing section and somehow link it?

That race was still in the 'holding tank', I validated it and then deleted the first instance of the draft in your races.  You should now see the 'start thread' link.

I just followed the instructions above, and saved the Houston half mary as a draft race report, but it is not showing up as "member's next upcoming race" on my training log.  Am I missing something?

go to 'your races' - you will see it.

that whole 'planned races' and 'planned training' bloc in the actual blog is the subscriber thing.

and if your trying to do this before i get a faq out and DONT see a 'start thread' link, then give me the 'URL' to the directory link so i can validate it.
