Anyone planning on going to the 2006 Coaches Conference in CO Springs in Feb?  I just registered.  Luckily I have family in CO Springs and we take a trip out every year around that time to visit and ski so I have minimal expense since I'm already planning to be there.  Looks like they've got some great stuff on the schedule...I'm completely psyched for this!  It will mark the official start of my training/education to become an endurance sports coach/trainer/nutritionist.  I'd also like to squeeze in one of the USAT coaching certification workshops in the spring/summer.

I've got a 51km x-c ski race that Saturday in WI, but I would have liked to listen to Daniels and Mark Allen. Have fun.

I am going! Can’t wait to listen to coaches like Friel and Daniels!!!

Joel - I would highly recommend the USAT certification. For me it was a great experience and a great opportunity to learn from people with years of experience not to mention the great chance for networking.

Wow...Jack Daniels and Ernie Maglischo back-to-back! Sweet!

Hopefully they'll keep Dr. Daniles on topic, cause he only has 1.5 hours to speak, and the guy loves to tell stories.

I'm 100% doing the cert workshop...it's just a matter of fitting it into my schedule.  I'd like to do it sooner rather than later so I can start logging the hours of experience I need to work towards Level II.

NOOOOOOOOO! I totally got screwed over at work and now I am stuck with air tickets and the conference fee. Everytime that I get an email with updates about the conference I am ready to shoot myself! I know I am exaggerating but I really really want go. Oh well, have lots of fun and enjoy the great experience! I am so envious that you might get to hang out/workout with Mike R and other great coaches!

Enjoy!

Dude...that SUCKS!  So you paid for a ticket and the conference and now you're stuck?  Sorry to hear that.  Don't worry, it won't be any good anyway...probably a waste of time.  Who am I kidding...I'm psyched!  I catch my flight out at 2pm.  Sorry you can't make it...maybe call in sick

You HAVE to stop by the New England Aquarium when you are in town... it's 20 steps or less from the front door of that hotel!

Sorry about getting the shaft from work, Jorge! (Isn't it time you leave that place so you can work full time as a coach anyways? Wink)
