Subject: Training Plan and Log Questions
Hi,

Couple of questions:

First, is there an easy way to do a "global replace" of planned training data? I started with a standard plan that I downloaded, but I've added a few extra strength exercises to my workout. I've added these to my next planned workout, and I'd like to copy that same workout set to the remainder of my planned strength workouts.

Second, I may have missed some of the definitions, but what is "Aerobic Endurance" in terms of its use in the running workouts. Can you define it in relation to a level of effort, race distance, or % Max HR?

In advance thanks...great site, I'm really enjoying it.

Hi Mark,
If I understand what you're looking to do, which is to copy one workout to all future strength workouts, there isn't an easy way to do it. Copying is done by date range and is limited to copying a number of days to the same number of days.

I'm in pretty much the same situation as you, and on days when I have a strength session I just copy the exercises from the last day I did them to today. I find this to be pretty efficient and it's useful to have the same number of reps and the min/max weights from my last session.

Aerobic endurance is the ability to exercise for a prolonged period using oxygen from the lungs as fuel. Measuring it as a % of Max HR is generally regarded as inaccurate. Mike Ricci started a thread with excellent information on HR training and determining training zones. I recommend everyone read it.

As far as it's relationship to race distance, I believe it's a valuable ability in pretty much anything longer than a few minutes.
