Pre-race routine:

just tried to relax and double check I didn't forget anthing
Swim
  • 16m 50s
  • 547 yards
  • 03m 05s / 100 yards
Comments:

My slowest swim in a long time, maybe it had something to do with getting plowed over by the other swimmers.
Right at the start I seemed to forget all the training I've done on swimming.
What would you do differently?:

I think I need to get some more open water practice in so I can do better on the ext one.
Transition 1
  • 04m 54s
Comments:

I lost a couple of mintues looking for my GPS, I forgot to stage it earlier.
Bike
  • 42m 44s
  • 12.5 miles
  • 17.55 mile/hr
What would you do differently?:

I think I could of pushed harder on the bike. I was afraid of the run coming up so I eased up a bit on the bike. next time I won't ease up.
Transition 2
  • 03m
Comments:

My rack spot was next to the exit so it made for a long run in the transistion area. Overall it seemed like a smooth T2
What would you do differently?:

I'm not sure.
Run
  • 44m 3s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 14m 13s  min/mile
Comments:

I could seem to get my running legs working. My brother hung back in his T2 to run with me and help me push it out. I had to walk a few times but each mile was faster than the last.
What would you do differently?:

I'm going to have to keep working on my running. Including more brick work some I'm use to running with burnt legs. I think improve will come with continued weight lose and more time on the road.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

carryin too much weight, but I'm working on it.
