Subject: bike transport question
I have been really bad at getting up in the morning to ride my bike on the trainer so I went and got a roof rack (plus this beats jamming my bike into the back seat of my car). My plan is to take my bike and my trainer to the pool to ride before practice, on certain nights I have about 2 hours before practice starts. However I will have to leave it racked up on the roof of my car while I'm at work. Any recommendations on what I should do in case of bad weather? Should I throw a trash bag or some kind of cover over it? Just rack it up and let it face the elements? The thing that worries me about covering it is wind, no space to the wind to travel through, I don't want my bike getting blown off the car on the highway!

I'm sure you've already considered this but can you bring it inside at work and store it somewhere?  Or take a wheel or two off and get it into your car?  If not, sounds like a perfectly rational reason to me to go get a new, bigger vehicle!  Have fun shopping!

You have it exposed to the elements, including road debris, while transporting it on your vehicle. A little weather while parked is mild by comparison.
