Subject: Name on my new skis?
As if buying tri equipment wasn't enough this year, I've gone out and bought the first pair of (downhill) skis that I've owned since 1980. At least I got a big end-of-the season discount on them. This seems to be the year of embracing my inner athlete.

I really want to put my name on my skis and poles. Not in an obvious location, but still able to be seen if necessary. Just seems like a good idea in case of a mix-up.

I was thinking of using some bike names decals:

Or does anyone have a different suggestion?

Thanks,
Heidi

I'm in the same boat as you with regards to ski equipment.  I bought all my present equipment in the mid-eighties.  What a  difference these days, especially in length!  I still ski on a pair of 195cm Soloman skis whereas today most guys my height (6 feet) would be skiing on 160's.

Anyways, the idea of placing a decal with your name on your skis is a very good one.  Even though all (or most) skis have a serial number on the side a decal is more easily discernable at a glance.

Volkl Attiva 4 Star - Women-specific skis

Tomorrow I take them on the slopes for the first time. I'm more intermediate than advanced right now, but I plan to "grow into them."
