Subject: Stationary trainer or Spin Bike?

I am in the process of putting together a workout room in my basement. Looking at stationary trainers (Kurt Kinetic most likely) vs. Spin Bikes.

Any recommendations? Thoughts on which category is better?

Hi.  This was just asked in the last few days so you should be able to find it.  The consensus was trainer and the kinetic and one other were recommended.  I'm by no means an expert on trainers as I am just starting to look for one myself.

If I could somehow justify the expense, I would LOVE to have one of these to train on....

Why would you prefer that over a power meter, trainer, and the approriate software?

I mean, you already have a bike that is hopefully comfortable for you.

Less wear and tear on my bike, no need to change out tires to ride on the trainer, then change them again to go out on the road, etc.....

I just bought a Cycleops fluid 2 after having the same concerns.  I'm liking it so far.
