Otherwise known as the working person's version of senior-itis. I have five days left at my current job, and a LOT to do, but I simply don't wanna.  Never mind my guilt and midwestern work ethic will have me up late finishing everything before I go, I am shamelessly hanging out on BT, checking my personal e-mail, reading random articles and generally just screwing around.  It's gorgeous outside and I want to go run and plant things in my garden. CRAP!!!

Whatever am I to do?

Find me a date for this weekend, since you've got so much free time on your hands.

Dude, come to the NC coast and I will set you up with your choice of a tall, black-haired, blue-eyed down east man who can talk about the history of the Supreme Court while taking you out on the sound in the boat he built himself.  Or plan B: an engineer/enviro who regularly goes fishing and OW swimming, loves his dogs, and has really nice hands.

Plan A may not be your type long-term, but for a date, no problemo. He's purty. He also sits less than ten feet from me, so me no touchy. Plan B, likewise. He knows my ex too well and I work with him, too.

But c'mon down--I'll start dialing before I start drinking. Oooh, and I forgot, there's a salsa mambo party tonight, too. I wasn't gonna go, but for you, I will rally.

Yup, I can find all kinds of people for my friends to date.  but for myself? Nada. Well, one, but we all know what happened with that.

But he keeps in contact, which is just confusing and makes all my friends here roll their eyes.
