Pittsburgh, my heart is in Glasgow
Subject: Nervous traveler
Holy crap, i'm leaving for italy in 6 days. I'm so not prepared for this. I think I've lost my birth certificate too!! But I have my passport. I booked my hostel and flight and train ride...oh man, I really really hope all these bookings are allright. I really really really hope it will be allright. Then I'm coming home and I have to figure out how my rear is getting to Galway (2 days after returning from Italy) to run my half mary. AAAAAAAIIIE. I'm an anal retentive planner, so this "loose travel" stuff is really stressing me.

Did I mention that I'm staying in a hostel that's an old convent that's almost literally in the shadow of the Duomo? And it cost only 12 USD a night? Did I also mention that I almost had a heart attack when I realized how much ART there will be to see? AAAAAAAAUgh. I wish I had more than 4 days to spend.

What loose travel?  You have reservations for everything!  Italy in March is not peak season, so you won't be standing in line to see anything or fighting all of the tourists....    I went to Italy with a girlfriend years ago when we were both single.   Oooolala.   You will have a ball.   Flaunt that red hair, girl!

Think of the only 4 days as a scouting trip - you are just scouting out where you want to come back to.....

Ciao, bella!
