Comments:

With over 33,000 people running in this race just actually running instead of walking at the start is almost impossible due to bodies being everywhere. After about the first 1/4 mile we got spread out enough to actually run. The first 2 miles was relatively easy and then we hit the 5 percent grade of the Cooper River Bridge. I had to walk at this point and even walking my calves were buring and I thought I might actually get a cramp at one point. When I reached the crest of the bridge I starting running again and ran on and off to the finish. One funning thing about the race, one section goes through a questionable part of town and every homeless person of the street was hollering and cheering on the runners.
What would you do differently?:

Get in more training before race.
Post race
Warm down:

Still had to walk another mile or so after the finish just to get to the car.

Event comments:

No better way to see the beautiful city of Charleston, SC than this.

Running through a questionable part of town is one way to make you run faster!  Charleston is an awesome town - even if you do not live slightly north of Broad street.

Bummer about the calves talking to you on the bridge ... keep in mind this is just the beginning of the season and you have just begun to finely tune your body for the races on your plate.
