Run
Comments: nice, flat course What would you do differently?: maybe not drink 2 bottles of wine w/ company the night b4 Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: wine, cheese and crackers Event comments: Did this w/ my brother in law who is just starting a workout/run program. It's 5 minutes from his house and is actually my alma mater, St. Thomas Aquinas College. Just wanted to get some speed work in cuz I really haven't done any. Small race, we had fun. BIL went out a little to fast to get some open space. Passed him right b4 the 1 mile marker. Clock said 7:05 - fast for me. 14:25 at mile 2. I wasn't feeling great. Just tried to hold on for the last mile. Tried to catch a couple ahead of me but just had no kick. Turns out she was a former track star and coach. No wonder she made it look so easy. That made me fell a little better too! Overall happy given I've done no speedwork. I figure 7 min miles are doable at this distance if i trian for it. Had fun w/ BIL, nice weather and $20 to my old school's athletic scholarship fund . Glad I did it. Last updated: 2006-04-09 12:00 AM
