I didn't win, but I wasn't entered either. Sorry man, maybe next year you'll be able to make the trip!

Unless there are two Chris Parkers from Palatine, our very own Coredump is headed to Kona!!!

Congrats, Chris!

I did not win either but really wasn't expecting to. After I entered - on a whim - I figured out my chance of winning was about 1:100. THat's pretty slim odds.

Why not do both? You'll already be all trained up and have a significant endurance base underneath you to get it done. Check out this month's Triathlete magazine for a plan to do "back to back" IM races 3 weeks apart and then you can simply jerry-rig it to fit the 5 week span between the two races.

I am now officially jealous of my good friend Chris!

The 2 things I won in a lottery (Power Cranks and Ironman North America slot) I would trade in a sec for Kona....

You have, by far, won the coolest thing there is to win via Random Drawing (not including million dollars of cash of course

Use Wisconsin as a "training race." Swim and Bike, and maybe a few miles of the run. Enjoy and CONGRATS!!

Can I have your autograph first Chris?  That way if you do something famous like the guy that crashed his bike in '05 and had to walk it in....well, I'll be in on the ground floor!

LOL...congrats on the slot!!!

Oh yeah....and cover your body with BT tattoos first....get us some exposure on national TV!

I guess the next question is, are you going to do IMWI as your validation race, or are we looking for a nice mid-season 70.3 now??

While Brett's got me pounding the pavement at IMCDA, you could be enjoying a challenging, windy, 70.3 here in lovely Texas...on the very same day!

It's actually pretty neat how this worked out...just last October you were posting awesome updates in your log.....as a spectator in Kona.  Did you imagine in your wildest dreams that this year, you'd be there in the middle of it all as a participant??
