Tips for signning up for IMAZ 2012

Be sure you already have an active.com account before you try to register. If you do, some blanks will auto fill.

If not go to an open 70.3 and start the registration process which should get you an Active.com account.

Some folks have another person or two try to register them as the same time. They communicate so they only register you once.

You need medical insurance information as well.

I had all my info ready so I was ready to enter it online..you can go to an active race that is not sold out and find out what you need to fill out and its order say Kentucky for example)  It doesnt matter whether you are a member on active or have an active account..you can sign in under guest, but as Kathy said  it will autofill some parts for you if you have an account and yes make sure you can get on active at work. I signed up as soon as the clock struck..had no problems getting in or with screen delay /server issues.

Is it too late to go there in person?  Is that an option?  If not, do what the others have said.

If you do go in person, get the to the sign up area EARLY.  I probably got there right at when it opened, maybe 30 minutes after, and the line was 2-3 hours long.  It was a year ago, so I sort of forgot.  But I remember getting there at 7-ish and not getting on the road till after 11.  If I had to do it again, I would get their and hour early and wait, than 30 minutes late and wait for 3 hours.

Is it possible to find the event directly in Active.com or do you have to wait until posted on IronmanArizona first and then follow link?

I signed up for IMFL this year day after the race and went towards the end of sign ups and it took 10' to register. Earlier in the day the line was 10x as long. Getting there early means standing in line a long time. Go just before it closes on site your wait will be much shorter and they will let everyone in line get registered. This year 900 registered in person at IMFL.

Right now it does not show up in the search.  So guess I will keep two windows open and do it both ways

Do the Foundation slots sell out as fast also?

My guess is No.  Other than IMNYC, you can get into any North American IM via general entry or foundation slots today.
