Pre-race routine:

Normal breakfast. Cereal and a banana. Hydrate.

Met the group at the club at 6am. Headed to the event.
Event warmup:

Put baggies on the shoes and duct taped 'em. Wore goretex rainpants and top and X country ski gloves.

ESE winds at 14 gusting to 22 and windy. It was NASTY going into the wind. Spinning smallest gear at times. Couple longer hills on the first half.
What would you do differently?:

Prep more for the hills. Overall pretty good considering I've only put 200 mi to date on the bike outdoors.

Decent ride, not really a race.

First stop was Ok (legion) and had TONs of snacks and drinks. 2nd stop was at a school that didn't all cleats to be worn inside (makes sense), but since I was duct taped up, didn't take off shoes.
