csschafer - 2012-02-22 10:59 PM Feeling pretty good. Where in Philly are you from? I grew up there.

Not "from" per se, just living here now. We live by the Art Museum! Anxious to get outside with my bike soon now that we have 55 degrees IN FEBRUARY!

the city of brotherlyshove invades charleston! I was born at Jefferson Hospital and grew up on the west side of cherry hill right over the ben franklin bridge. i may have to bust out a philly eagles ball cap for the run haha

my training has been bike week, but im ok with swim and run. problem will be getting to the run in decent shape to use my run fitness. its hard getting the longer rides i like lately for a variety of reasons. still some time though to get the fitness up so i am not giving up too much hope!

Triathlon specific shorts.... good for the swim, bike, and run.  No changing necessary.

I assume temps make this a wet suit legal race?

By the way, I'm consolidating this with an anniversary weekend get-away with the wife and forgot how difficult it can be to find a place in Charleston during the Spring.  Oops!

I JUST canceled my reservation for a cabin at the KOA.  We're staying at a friend's condo instead - free!  If anyone still needs a place to stay you might want to call them ASAP!

Haven't seen the swim waves yet, but I'm glad they've removed the rough section of Halfway creek rd out of the race. That may save a few tires. Now, if only the rain would stay away........

Right now there's a 50% chance of rain on sat. Hopefully that's in the afternoon. Pretty sure it will be wetsuit legal. Called KOA for water temp; they said check the trycharleston website. Haven't been able to find the temp.

Weather.com forecast changed from 60% chance of rain/thunderstorms to partly cloudy 20% chance of rain!  High of 81, wind at 10 mph.  Looks like it's going to be a great day!  Fingers crossed.

Does anyone know.... packet pick up is only at Trek store Friday and KOA Saturday?  Or at KOA Friday too? Website contradicts itself on this.
