Swim
Comments: The swim was by far my weakest part. I attribute that to never having really shared a lane, practicing in a yard pool instead of a meter pool and being really really nervous. Oh let's be honest -- I just need to work harder in the pool. What would you do differently?: Practice more. Swim faster! Transition 1
Comments: I had to put on a long-sleeve shirt because it was still in the 40s when I mounted the bike. That took an extra few seconds. The shoes went well as did the helmet/glasses etc. What would you do differently?: Relax a little. I was nervous. Bike
Comments: The bike was good. Again I need to spend more time in the saddle to build up my leg strength so I can move faster. What would you do differently?: Practice more! Transition 2
Comments: T2 sucked for me. I was trying to take off my long-sleeve shirt, my shoes and put on my running shoes, all of which led to me forgetting my singlet with my number. I made it about a quarter-mile before I realized what I did. Thankfully it's a laid-back race and one of our Team-in-Training members was able to get it to me before I finished What would you do differently?: NOT FORGET MY SINGLET!!! Run
Comments: The course was flat and fast. And the weather was perfect. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Warm down: Uh-oh. I think I forgot to do this. What limited your ability to perform faster: I need to train more I think. Event comments: This was my first so I'm not really sure how good it was, but I thought it was a bunch of fun and can't wait 'til next year! Last updated: 2006-05-04 12:00 AM

Rode my bike to the event -- about two miles. Swam two laps.
