weather seems to be great the day before / race day / and the day after...

so we pretty much going to have a good "cold" weather!

Oh this weather update is music to my ears. Heat/humidity are really hard on me - very excited! Rudy - tried to respond to you on inspire - didn't work - great work on your prep for the race ! I'm psyched to meet a bunch of you in person this FRIDAY!!!

Also, what are you planning on eating at the restaurant...Oh, the things that concern me :/, Also, I'm going straight to a family vacation after...and need to pack for the tri and the vacation for the familly! Food, sheets, etc. for a cottage my mother is providing. Yipes!

If you're going to the Fireside dinner, then I'll see you there!

As for what to eat? Avoid Red Bull & tamales at all costs. 

I'll probably stick w/ something tasty but easily digestable like baked fish and salad, etc.

Getting closer.....nervous? excited?

Are most of you doing packet pick up Friday before meeting up for Dinner?

OK, reservation for dinner is all set at 5:30 at Fireside.

It is under the name Rudy/Beginner Triathlete

no more talk about the weather, i don't wanna jinx it.

I am leaving Norwalk between 10 and 11, should be up there about 2-3.  Wanna do a light run for a couple miles, get my packet and see everyone!!!

mid 70's, am I gonna need armwarmers? what about calf sleeves, will I be too cold in the water? will the sun be hot in the shade.

Oh, wait.. I'm just kidding. 

Anyone know if they designate spots specific to your number or just by rack?  I'm sure I could ask at number pick up on Friday but I know I'd forget to ask. 

OMG...now I'm starting to freak.

Heading out around noon tomorrow - should be at packet pickup between 4:30-5:30, then over to dinner, then to the hotel. Kid's last day of school today so to say I'm distracted is a bit of an understatement.

yes, they assign you a rack spot, there is no race to see who gets the end rack. your race number and possibly name should be on your location.

...thanks for that. Seriously. I am AMPED today - good and not so good. Oh the tummy! I don't want to lose energy being nervous. My new mantra is your quote. And breathing. I need to breathe. Good luck everyone. We are so graced to have our health and our training. Let's go play on Saturday. It will be a blast!

Honestly speaking we are doing something that is AWESOME by most people standards! What is the fear? no body is going to kill u at the end of the race!

That may be the best reason for not getting nervous I have ever heard. Hilarious.

They have specific spots with your race number and name on the racks.

If you are part of a tri team and listed it you will racked near your team mates.

True -- we just kill ourselves during the race!
