Post race
Warm down:

Walked, stretched

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Heat.

Event comments:

The only thing I'd criticize is the amount of traffic on the course. Especially cyclists farther back looked like they were having a hard time navigating giant trucks pulling boats, other cyclists, runners going both ways. Traffic control needed!

Great job Carrie!  Glad to hear the swim went so well for you - so the wetsuit paid off, eh? I thought often on Sunday about you and Malvey and all the others and how everyone would fair given the heat (and the wind?) I did a run-through of next Saturday's QC Tri with 6 of my Masters mates here on Sunday morning, and on the bike leg out I was doing 27 mph, but back into the 10 - 15 mph wind I was lucky to hold 18 - 20 mph. The 3 mile run was sluggish. S'posed to be hot this weekend again. Anyway, unprotected roads are a real drag. Thanks for the race post and congratulations on a great finish.

If you're now in love with tris, Malvey, I'm in love with my wetsuit. I can't wait to swim in it again. My first couple of tris I was majorly back of the pack, but I got some coaching, spent a lot of hours following the black line, and most importantly GOT A WETSUIT!! I was 12th in my age group, which let me tell you is a minor miracle.

Thanks everyone for all the support.
