Comments: I ran this using a 6:1 run/walk. Based on my training runs, my pace should have been about 15-30 seconds faster with those HRs. The start of the race my HR was about 20 bpm higher than normal. I need to find a way to relax before a race. Either way, a new PR by 9 minutes. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Walked around for an hour. What limited your ability to perform faster: MY training fell off the map during November and December Event comments: I have only done two half-marathons and this was the best of the two. I liked this event because it is not as crowded as the Houston Marathon.. Last updated: 2012-01-29 12:00 AM

Woke up about 5am. I usually have a PB&Banana sandwich for breakfast on race day. Today I had a bowl of cereal and a cup of coffee. Arrived at race site @ 6:15
At about 6:35 started doing my pre-run warm-up and stretches, then walked to start line and waited.
