Comments: Not really sure what happened on this one, but it was definitely a sub-par performance. I felt fine on the warm-up, but once I started pushing into the wind it was game over for me. My legs felt like jell-o and my focus was poor. I started coming around the first time I counted off seconds from the guy in front of me and had gained a couple. Next time, though, he gained them all back plus some. Never caught him today and turned in my worst time to date (chain stayed on since I kept it in the big ring). I'm certainly not happy about it, but I'd be more upset if it weren't primarily a training event. I just didn't feel like I had any good power in my legs tonight. What would you do differently?: Draft? Kidding. Not really anything I can think of. I went as hard as I could. Post race
Warm down: Had to stop after the race and contemplate throwing up. Never did so I changed into my running gear and did a brick run with Adam. Ran with him for a few minutes and then kept going. My IT band started hurting so I cut it short since I have my first tri of the season in just over a week and didn't see the need to inflame it more. Frustrating though. What limited your ability to perform faster: On the bike - my legs and the wind. Maybe a lack of focus too. On the run - just my legs. Last updated: 2006-03-14 12:00 AM

Talked to Adam for a few minutes, did some light stretching and a light jog. Contemplated which wheels to use since it was windy.
Hopped on the trainer for about 15 minutes and moved through all gears getting my HR up to Z3 where I kept it for most of the warm-up. Legs didn't feel all that bad while on the trainer.
