Pre-race routine:

Rode the trainer for 1:15 before picking up Dud and Mike.
Event warmup:

Just running back and forth to the car and number pick up.

It was cool and snowing and the roads were slippery so I was planning on running with Mike and Dudley. Managed to do that for the first 1.5 miles and somehow I got ahead of them a little bit thinking it was Mike right behind me when it was someone else.

So I got chatting with another guy about different races and marathons we had done.

Between the slippery roads and the ITB acting up, I felt that going slow was the appropriate thing to do. These races are training races.
What would you do differently?:

Stay inside where it was warm and dry.

Warm down:

Grabbed some pizza and a hot chocolate and headed home.
