Hammerhead Olympic Triathlon (Page 2)

Well, I'm still here and back in June I managed to cajole/insist/harass Christine into going on a road trip to HOT with me, so I'll be there! Not sure if I'm going to DNS or DNF - definitely one of the two since PT says NO running for me (haven't run in about 6 weeks). Haven't been doing much of anything except aquajogging (PT LOOOOOVES the aquajogging) and hamstring strengthening.

Can't wait to see you again, Kendall!

Hey, Kendall and thanks! Chronic hamstring injury which I am 3 weeks into repairing. I will drop you an email.

My job is to get Christine there in time for packet pickup and any group ride she wants to do. I am making dinner for her and me (we rented the cottage) on Saturday evening; if you can hang around post-ride that would be GREAT! Would love to relax and chat with you - and feed you pasta if you'll let me. Something simple and it would be lovely to break bread with you (bring your girls?). I understand if you need get home, tho'.

Hi, Tonya. I would be up for some laid-back hanging out after I've had dinner. I talked to Christine about bringing a board game or cards. Maybe have a spirited game of Cranium if we can rustle up enough players?

I believe we had talked about having dinner after the ride.  We can leave the bikes in my room if we decide to do dinner.  Post dinner activities for me will include lots of sleep, so dinner will be my last event for the day.  Besides...well, nevermind.  Anyway, ride at 4:30, then dinner with the group works for me.  See you all there.

Excellent venue. As soon as we pulled into the base, I said "I WANNA TRI, TOO!" What a terrific spot for a triathlon.

Sorry we didn't get to do board games last night, Tanya. Christine made me clean her bike chain and derailleurs, then massage her feet. She let me rest after I made a 2nd beer run.

It was a great spot. except for those f*ing risers and that hole that knocked my bike out of whack. 

I am definitely going back.  Maybe we can have Tom drive us.

I will be back too.  I had a blast.  I have to say though, I seriously underestimated this course.  SERIOUSLY.  That one hill on the run just cooked me.  But I totally had a great time this weekend, it was awesome meeting you Kendall, Tanya (is it O or A?) and Matt.  Wasn't that dinner great?  Next time we all meet up we'll have fried green tomatoes again, those ROCKED!!!

Hope everyone else had a great time as well.  Christine...I heard you say that four letter word when I told you about that big uphill!!! LOL
