Subject: marine drive

I signed up for the Subaru Vancouver HIM (my first tri) in July and will be in Vancouver in May for a quick visit.  I want to run and ride the course in advance and I was wondering if Marine Drive has a bike lane and/or if it's safe to ride during the day.

I did the course last year -- there's a wide shoulder there

There's a lot of cyclists on the route too, so cars should be more used to cyclists on this street.

Be careful of the potholes though. They've been getting worse.
