Subject: RE: Best goggles for large headed swimmerThis is like saddles...trial and error ad infinitum... One piece goggles have a softer seal all around the face...two things come to mind: if there's already some age on the goggles as sun and chlorine gradually get the silicon stiff and therefore the seal is not the same. Try to push the goggles towards your eyes and try to create a slight negative pressure inside that will pull the goggles towards your face (as long as the seal is working it'll keep water out). When the seal is in good working order the googles should keep on your face without using the strap. (This is the same test used for scuba masks). My vote is for the old an classic two piece goggles. There is still work in finding the right shape for them but there is less area for sealing and the shape of the face doesn't matter much (only thing to really adjust is the nose bridge). Good luck |
