Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 4:00am and packed the car. Had some eggs and a couple of eggos with coffee. We hit the road by 5:00 and got there at a little after 6:00. Picked up our packets and set up our transitions.
Event warmup:

Ran a couple of miles to get the legs loosened up and then put on my wetsuit and hit the water.
Swim
  • 12m 30s
  • 875 yards
  • 01m 26s / 100 yards
Comments:

I once thought I was fast but damn, these guys were haulin ass.
What would you do differently?:

Not much, it felt good but I need more speed.
Transition 1
  • 01m 29s
Comments:

Third time trying to get into my shoes while riding and it went OK. I need to practice it a bit more though.
What would you do differently?:

I need to figure out how to get the damn wetsuit off my feet better.
Bike
  • 26m 11s
  • 10 miles
  • 22.92 mile/hr
Comments:

I got my HR up a bit too high right out of the gate, but the big hill kinda made that hard to control.
What would you do differently?:

Not much, it felt good.
Transition 2
  • 00m 51s
Comments:

My running shoes have a bad habit of colapsing at the heal when I put them on. It takes me a second to fix it before I take off.
What would you do differently?:

Focus on getting my shoes on without crushing the heal of my shoes.
Run
  • 25m 31s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 08m 12s  min/mile
Comments:

I'm slow.... nuf said!
What would you do differently?:

Run more and run faster!
Post race
Warm down:

Not much, put up the bikes and gear and waited for the results.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My run... everything else felt good but the run felt like crap.

Event comments:

I won't do this race again simply because of the hills on the run. It was completely above and beyond what ANYONE would expect in a tri.
