Team Magic
Total Time = 1h 07m 25s
Overall Rank = /
Age Group = 25-29 beginner
Age Group Rank = 9/11
Event warmup:

Biked to transition area, ran a short distance and swam a few laps.
Swim
  • 04m 53s
  • 200 yards
  • 02m 26s / 100 yards
Comments:

results were good, didn't feel comfortable though
What would you do differently?:

relax and don't worry about people coming up behind me
Transition 1
  • 02m 29s
Comments:

Went pretty well. Had to run a while to get to the transition area from the pool.
What would you do differently?:

try to get to where I don't need socks, and get rid of the camelbak
Bike
  • 37m 55s
  • 8.5 miles
  • 13.45 mile/hr
Comments:

Felt the best on this section. I did really well on the hills without pushing myself. Definately could have worked harder but I was holding back for the run. Need to get comfortable drinking from the bottle so I don't need the camelbak.
Transition 2
  • 02m 2s
Comments:

Went pretty well, should have run out faster. had to run around the transition area due to the set up, giving a longer time
What would you do differently?:

Get bike on rack on first tri. Had a hard time lifting it.
Run
  • 20m
  • 2 miles
  • 10m  min/mile
Comments:

Started out really well, had to walk/run the middle portion, ran the last section.
What would you do differently?:

Do more bricks beforehand off the bike, not off the spin bike.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Needed to do more bricks, relax while swimming, try to get slicks before next tri.

Event comments:

Very good beginner race, I'm glad this was the first one I did.
