I'll be watching the usual triathlon and marathon and swimming and such. Really I'll be watching to see how the traffic flows in London during the games. After living there I can tell you the public transport system breaks down. A lot. And they're closing off lanes of traffic for the athletes and Olympic committee people and telling the public to avoid the city altogether if possible. Which, you know, is great, considering it's those very people who are paying for it through tax funding. Anyway it'll be fun to watch, nonetheless. The equestrian portion will be on a hill overlooking my old neighborhood and the rowing will be in a lake where I did many an event, so it'll be cool to see those again!

We're Olympics junkies. It's the main reason we decided to get a stupid digital-to-analog converter box and antenna (being able to catch So You Think You Can Dance is a nice perk, though)

Like many, my sports of choice are gymnastics, diving, swimming, equestrian, mtn biking, rowing. I'll also stick around for volleyball, table tennis, and water polo.

Can't wait!

My son took up fencing and swimming in the last two years, so we're excited to watch those together. He had no interest in he Olympics in 2008. I'm also looking forward to track and cycling.

Make sure to check out the Modern Pentathlon as well as those are 2 of the 5 sports in it.

I watch it all but my favorites are Diving, Swimming, Track & Field, & Beach Volleyball.

Keeping politics out of it..

This is Elena Pirozhkova picking up the first lady.  She is a female wrestler from my home town (Greenfield, MA), First olympian to come out of our area in 50+years so we're all pretty excited for her.

I worked with her sister as part of the Kiwanis/Key Club affiliation and I met Elena at one of our meetings a few weeks ago as she was selling Tshirts/fundraising to help send her family to London.
