It's at altitude, the swim will be cold, the bike and run will be hilly, it's IMSG in the Mountain! Love it!! LOVE Tahoe.

I'm coming out of retirement for this one. The course will be incredible. From what I know of that area, the run will be pretty flat except for coming in and out of squaw. The bike course will be some serious climbing though and a scary fast descent from Northstar. Can't wait. I'll be there in early August and will do some scouting.

I'm up at Truckee this weekend (from Sacramento) I tried to drive the bike course and it's not complete yet.  The road is closed at mid-mountain at Northstar (just past the hotel).   (where it appears that Big Springs is not attached to Highland View).   Btw - Highland View is a _fast_ descent but nothing like the descent into Kings Beach.

I'm going to make this my first Ironman (if I get a slot) and think it will be a fun race.   There is going to be a heck of a climb out of Truckee (twice).
