Its father's day and a lot of us are fathers! However, this is open to everyone.

Apart from the usual sentimental stuff like more time with the family, if you could have one triathlon related wish, cost not an issue, what would you go for, big or small?

For me, though I considered a set of Zipp firecrests, I think it would be a better feel for the water, which means a series of intensive swim lessons, concentration to learn the form, and motivation to keep working on it.

Who are you and what have you done with The Slayer? Just kidding but good to know you have an open mind!

Athlete Side: To be able to move to Colorado (Springs, Boulder, not quite sure) and train full-time for 1 year in prep for IM Lake Tahoe 2013. Might need to hit up Flagstaff, AZ during the crazy winter months though haha.

Coaching Side: I'd like to get an internship that opens me up to a different style of coaching system, one that's more along the lines of founding and proper execution of an elite squad. I'm learning loads now both on lifestyle and training but I think something along those lines would really open my eyes to the type of dedication an athlete and coach have in order to make something of that nature successful.

Sentimental side: I am very thankful for the current situation I am in and all that have helped me along the way. Especially my Dad, without his hard work as I was growing up I wouldn't have the opportunities I had growing up and have now. As a Kid you ask "Why isn't Daddy at my Lacrosse game today?" without a real understanding, but now I know... he was out busting his to provide for his family. Thanks Dad, you rock, I appreciate you more than words can describe.

Swim lessons would be nice, but I think I would go for more of an experience type of thing. It'd be cool to take a year to race a bunch of the big/famous races like Alcatraz and Kona and other destination races, even if I only did mediocre at each one. I think if I got a new bike or wheel set I'd be happy for awhile, but then feel like I needed something else new and better. The memories from a year like that would last a lifetime though.

csharp1171 - 2012-06-17 8:11 PMI would love to compete in>Norseman Xtreme TriathlonI would also like to toe the line at the impossible and succeed with a result that was what I consider and know I could do in the given conditions. Maybe Norseman, 100 or 50 ultra, SILVERMAN, etc. came close this year but not quite the results I deem my given ability. Another dream would to feel balance in training to peak performance and other priorities.
