Hey, who's geeked for the race?  I AM.

And, moreover, who wants to get together afterward for some BT-Cheer?

I chickened out of the tri, and am doing the du. I just have not done any open water swimming this year. Been racing my bike all over the place, have a crit in Dexter on Saturday. So, I might have a good bike, the first run is the warm up for the bike, and the second run is just a nice long cool down . Yeah, 14 mile bike is nothing, did the 51 mile state RR last weekend, this will just be a drag race, with a walk at the end

Not even a clue as to where the best viewing is, but it's a pretty small venue, with limited parking, so I expect  that it won't be much trouble finding us or being up close to the action.

ALSO....apparently there will be *limited* (like a coffee stand) refreshments for spectators, based on the pre-race letter that was sent out.  So, my best advice as to where to view is 1) with your own munchies and drinks, and 2) under a coating of bug spray (mosquitos were thick in the woods, and not bad in the park, but best to be safe).

Hope to see you there.

I'll be sporting BT duds (so I'll be hard to miss), and hoping there's lunch left for me when I finish.

(Since the 34 and under women don't start until 8:25, they're only giving us 1:50 minutes to finish before they start "lunch"--last year the 30-34F age group winner took 1:44, and I'm expecting to take at least 2:00--I'll be bringing some extra grub

Those of you who did compete in the AA tri today rocked! It was my first experience and I just observed hoping it would help me next wk at Big Fish. I learned a ton by watching, probably got a little more nervous, but was amazed that nearly everyone looked pretty chipper, fresh and many smiles on the homestretch. It was a good experience for me and I can't wait til Saturday to get this going and set a bar (however low it may be).
