Subject: RE: What a brilliant idea This looks like an inflation bet to me. Stupid at this size. I mean I'd bet on inflation too, but not this big. If you can't do it by traditional means, you probably shouldn't be able to, IMO. Quick and dirty math on 2% compounding inflation around the would make the same $105 mill worth around $175 mill in 20 years. And if you take that $175 mill and amortize that out over 20 years, your total payments are around $400 mill at a 10% interest rate, and $535 at 40 years. Hard to understand.
