The rear tire, torso and arm is complete.  The head and front tire are just scraps that I had laying around for other projects to give you an idea of the finished project design.  The head and other tire will be the same 4 wire design with round inserts keeping them the same distance apart.  Then there will be 1" steel tubing pieces in the wheels to anchor the entire project in the concrete pad for it to be used as a bike rack for bikes to lean against on our local recreational trail.  I still have many hours of work in forming the wire and then welding it all together.

That was what I was starting on originally for me, but I this is a money-maker for me, so it is taking priority over my own projects.  I had something drawn out before, but then I saw a really neat tattoo on somebody here that has the tri-sports in a circle with a third of the circle filled with one of the events and I am trying to make something like that also.  Very tough to do with just wire.

Just need to finish grinding some welds and smoothing out some rough edges.  Then zinc plate and then powder coat blue as they want it.

bike rack almost done

This is so cool.  You'd better start taking mail orders.

Thanks!!!

I am sure these are out of most people's price range.  Too many hours for many people to afford, and the shipping is probably by LTL carrier because of the size.

My wife wanted a penny fathing, so I made one of those for yard art.  Go for it, but unless you live nearby the shipping will kill you.  I am pretty sure it is too big for UPS.

No, not nearby at all.  Shipping would absolutely kill me to Richmond, VA.

The last picture shows, at the top of the photo, a car going by, but also shows the back side of the Penny Farthing I made for my wife for yard art.  It again, is not a shipable item because of the size.  I will have to look at UPS's web site for size and then decide on a size I can make the Penny Farthings as I have had people ask.  That one in the picture is a 52" front tire, as I was trying for orignal size.
