Swim
Comments: Pretty good for my second time out. A bit more tussling than my first race, but the stronger I get in the water the better I will feel. What would you do differently?: Need to really work on my strength and stroke in the water. Transition 1
Comments: Left my shoes on the pedals this time to save some time. My time doesn't really reflect that, but the run from the beach to the transition must have been at least 200 yards. What would you do differently?: Keep working on this. I'm sure this is one of the easiest places to shave time. Bike
Comments: I felt really good on the bike. Little wind and a nice smooth surface make a difference. I wanted to get this done in an hour so I can't complain. What would you do differently?: More strength training to get my speed up. Transition 2

Comments: I felt pretty good most of the run. There was a decent sized hill just before the turn around so I did walk a bit. What would you do differently?: More training. Post race
Warm down: Got some refreshments and chatted a bit. What limited your ability to perform faster: I signed up for the race on Monday, got sick on Tuesday, missed work on Wednesday, and didn't train much during the week. Woke up around 5am. Had a banana and toast with peanut butter.
Some light streching and short jogging.
