Subject: RE: IM FL Transition ?'s At LP, we checked our bags on race morning, going in and hanging them on the racks. You check your bike the night before, but you have access to your bike on race morning if you need to check tire pressures, put water bottles in your cages, etc. I did use my Bike Special Needs Bag, but did not use the one for the run. Because the bike takes so long, I put in some solid food (PB&J sandwich) and a 32 oz bottle of Gatorade, along with some stuff for my jersey pockets. On the run, it's easier to simply rely on the aid stations, but I can see where maybe a change of socks and a few other things might come in handy. I plan on supplying my own bananas this year and putting some in my special needs bags. Last year the bananas at IMLP were so green and raw they were inedible. |
