Pre-race routine:

Very routine
Event warmup:

  • 08m 16s
  • 300 yards
  • 02m 46s / 100 yards

I was somehow to far right on the first two buoy's. I swam fine, just further than prescribed.
What would you do differently?:

site better

Transition 1
  • 02m 17s

No issues
  • 29m 20s
  • 10 miles
  • 20.45 mile/hr

Good ride no issues. Had wanted to go back to tri bike, but after the wreck I had no training time so I stayed on the roadie.
Transition 2
  • 02m 4s

didn't take a split, so I am relying on race split here
  • 22m 2s
  • 2 miles
  • 11m 01s  min/mile

As usual lousy run. It was hot today.
What would you do differently?:

run train but ankle seems to keep stopping me.

Event comments:

I raced as clydesdale and won the division. I have never won a division or age group except on a relay. Even though it was the mini sprint and I raced clydesdale I gotta say I am thrilled to win a division. 10 years of racing, from mini's to ironman and back down to mini's, but hey I won!

Fun day, nice race.

Only issue I have is the race timing had issues. My total time is 47 seconds longer than my watch and others in my category said the same thing. They went back and adjusted the times, but it didn't change the total.

Great job on the podium finish! Sure is nice to turn around at the 1 mile mark rather than continuing down that hot stretch of road.  Going to have to meet you at one of these races as we seem to do alot of the same ones. Take care.
